BCGBA accounts for 2024

The BCGBA accounts for 2024 were accepted with the usual thanks to the hard-working Financial Officer Graeme Underhill. Graeme during his time in office has helped restructure the accounts and it is accepted by all that his work is invaluable.

The accounts show the associations assets have increased by just over £1000, and the trustee managed reserves have increased by just under £7000.

The General (Admin) account has a surplus of £7854, the men’s competition account has a deficit of £7444, the ladies competition account has a deficit of £4623, the development account shows a surplus of £5586, and the Investment account has a surplus of £6384. When all added together it is a surplus of £7757.45 which favourably compares to a surplus of just £908.48 in 2023.

The full accounts are below and were accepted without any dissenters at the AGM in January.

The deficit in the competition accounts has reduced over the last few years. A communication to the counties in February, following deliberation by the competitions committee, listed the contribution each entrant in county qualifiers must make. I would imagine this deficit will be reduced or eradicated in the next accounts.
